Sewn Up Gifts

You will probably recognize the irritating little things that pop up when you have landed in your new home?

We moved a month ago and in anticipation of visitors I wanted to get a spare room ready. First a double bed, easily found on Gumtree! Iron bed frame, smashing.

New sheets etc needed for when new mattress arrives soon, lovely. But I want to cover the base to hide all that stuff we put under the bed. Easy a valance, but no one seems to make them for bed frames with bed posts.

Oh yes I found one on line, but the cost was ridiculous, for me anyway! So out came a spare divan valance, I cut the bottom corners did a quick over lock and the job was a good one. All neat and tidy and cost nil.

Now just the bay curtains to sew, oh dear!
